First Line:
It was an ordinary day when Evie met The Villain.
Summary:
Evie Sage is a magnet for bad luck. She must care for her sick father and younger sibling, but cannot find a job. That's until she runs into the infamous Villain, who offers her a job she cannot refuse.
When she starts to enjoy the job (and the company of the Villain), she finds that it's not all as bad as she thought. And neither is he.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would! We love a morally gray character, and Evie has to be one of my favorite FMCs! Her awkward moments, boldness, and honesty had me rooting for her, and The Villian!? Definition of only folds for his woman! I can’t wait to read the next one!

My Favorite Quote(s):
“Sage, do you honestly think me incapable of humor?” “Of course I don’t think that,” she said earnestly. “You hired me.”
His knees nearly gave out when he felt her thumb stroke, just once, over the back of his hand.
The Villain came to an unbidden realization then, so completely tragic that his mind tried to reject the words. But they were there, so plainly it was almost comical. He was in love with her.
As broken and black as his soul likely was, Trystan had never once felt like there was anything missing from himself. Not until now.
