First Line:
I always knew I would see Famine again. Call it intuition, but I knew that fucker would come back.
Summary:
Pestilence and War, Famine's brothers, have failed to eliminate all the humans on Earth. Now, it is up to him.
Ana is nervous about meeting Famine again. The problem is he doesn't recognize her, and when she is met with his cruelty and that of his followers, she is determined to get her revenge.
Instead, she ends up as his prisoner.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
Okay, but that ending though!?
This series is making me question myself in ways I did not think was possible 🤭
Famine irritated me at first with his cockiness, but that made seeing him soften so much more rewarding. Sometimes, it takes someone fighting your beliefs every step of the way for you to realize that you may have been wrong all along. I loved Ana’s witty comebacks and how she stuck fast to what she believed despite it all.
So interesting and juicy!

My Favorite Quote(s):
He thinks of me and my needs even when I’m not around—needs that he doesn’t share. My chest tightens in an almost painful way. But the sensation is soon followed by fear.
“I see you,” Famine says. He leans in and kisses one eyelid, then the other. “Only you.”
“I love you, you foolish little flower.”
