First Line:
It feels different than I thought it would.

My Review: NO SPOILERS
This fractured retelling of Captain Hook and Wendy had me just as the title states, hooked.
The first Never After I read was Scarred, and I enjoyed that book way more than I thought I would. Recently this series came back to mind as I kept seeing it on social media, and everyone was talking about this book specifically.
Now, I have another fictional man I want to pull from the pages and make real. The way that James speaks and flirts? I was blushing and kicking my feet in bed while reading this. There’s something about the bad boy x good girl trope that always hits the right spot.
I loved the language in this book! There were some amazing quotes, and the details pacing was just right. Absolutely loved this book, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

My Favorite Quote(s):
I’ve never had somebody handle me the way he is. Never had someone like this give me their attention. It’s both infuriating and intoxicating
Some men are born into this world with purpose; other men are mutilated into it.
“When will I get my date, darling?” “When do you want it?” “Yesterday.” I press into her. “Now.” She stumbles into the cab’s door. “Tomorrow.”
