First Line:
"Sloane Winthrop’s fiancé is a royal douchebag."
Summary:
To everyone else, Jasper Gervais is a hockey star, famous for his grace on the ice and killer good looks. To Sloane Winthrop, he's the boy she fell in love with when she was a kid, the lost boy with sad eyes.
What she doesn't know is that Jasper has always felt the same about her.
After a horrific wedding day, Jasper is the one to save her, and the two enter an impromptu road trip where their unearthed feelings finally start coming to life. Sloane isn't just going to accept him though, so he'll have to prove it.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
Constantly ruining my expectations of love
This SERIES! The chemistry, the angst, I’m eating it up with every book I pick up from Elsie 😭
I love Sloane and Jasper's budding relationship, especially since childhood friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I was not disappointed in the slightest! I also love how the book naturally went through their insecurities closer to the end, and I love how they both handled them!
You can feel when two characters are meant for each other, and that's exactly what it felt like reading this book. Love love love!

My Favorite Quote(s):
Jasper smiles and his eyes soften, creases popping up beside them. He’s always been my gentle giant. Tall, quiet, and good down to the marrow of his bones.
Sloane laughs. She’s light and bright. She’s Sunny. She makes me smile so hard my cheeks hurt. I can’t take my eyes off of her.
