Quarterly Check-In: Mindset, Goals, and Thoughts

Happy Saturday, lovely people!

It’s time for another quarterly check-in, our last of the year. I’m writing this near the end of October, although this will pop up in November, I am still in awe of how 2024 has zoomed by.

How has the year been so far? Have you done anything exciting? Different? Soothing? Let me know in the comments!

A piece of paper with 'goals for the year' written on it

My main goals for this year were as follows:

1. Read 70 books

2. Touch grass

3. Attend more social events

4. Practice better self-care

Let’s touch on my progress for the year, as little as it has been. I hope you are making better progress than me XD

As of today, I’ve read 29 books out of 70. Honestly, I’m not too beaten up about the numbers, considering the last 3 years I’ve blown through my reading goals, and have been busy getting my life together. Still, I’d like to end the year strong by reading at least a few more books and putting in a good effort.

Goal number 2 hasn’t been as fruitful as I’d like, but number 3 has helped me somewhat in that regard.

My nephew recently turned 4, and I made a trip to visit him and his favorite character, Peppa Pig. We went to the Peppa Pig theme park in Orlando, and had a blast! Technically it’s a social event so let me have this one!

I also (maybe last month) went to an event at my local museum! The event was for artists to meet other artists, and I got the opportunity to talk to and connect with local artists. It was an amazing event, and it allowed me to promote my writing and meet some awesome people.

As for number 4, I’ve been trying my best to practice healing self-care. Unfortunately, due to health problems, the way I care for myself has had to switch up. I am trying to prioritize my health, which takes a lot of time and patience, so self-care has had to be put on the back burner. We will hopefully get back into it soon.

I do want to add, that my new book “you told me not to write about you” is out now! I published on September 21st and am so happy to have the opportunity to publish my work! If you’re interested in getting a copy, tap or click HERE.

So what I’ve been going through these past few months! I hope you all were able to stick to your goals, or at least make some progress! Baby steps!

I hope you are all well and working on your happiness <3
