First Line:
“Would you like another beer?”
Summary:
Mateo Cruz has been unable to shift for months. His wolf has resorted to talking to him, relentlessly. Mateo is constantly tormented by the thoughts he cannot control and seeks the aid of a powerful witch.
Evie Savoie has always obeyed the rules set by her sisters – no werewolves. Mateo, however, piques her interest. She can tell he is desperate, and she is the best hex breaker.
The only thing she didn't plan? Her heart being swayed.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
A good, fun read
Mateo and Evie were incredibly cute together! Their love story is a ’feel-good’ story with some darker elements. I assume the rest of the books will be about the other sisters, and I can’t wait!
The only things I didn’t personally like about the book were the predictability of the main villain and the pop culture references. Those are my personal opinions, but otherwise, I enjoyed the other aspects of the story!

My Favorite Quote(s):
The night was still hot but less humid as we crept into late October. Let me clarify. It felt less like swimming in soup and more like bathing in dogs’ breath.
